BISS Ch. TribalFox Jump Jive-N-Wail We named Louie for the famous musician/singer, Louis Prima, who made it big with a hit entitled, "Jump Jive 'N Wail." Louie began his show career by winning Winners Dog from the Bred-By Exhibitor Class, under judge Cindy Vogels, at The Fox Terrier Fanciers of Puget Sound Annual Specialty Show, near Seattle, WA on August 20, 1999. There were over 100 Smooth Fox Terrier entries that day. The next weekend, Louie won Best of Winners in Atlanta, GA, under judge Barbara Keenan, for a 4-point major. In October, Louie won Best of Winners from the Bred-By Exhibitor Class, under breeder-judge Bill Potter, at the Hatboro Dog Club Show near Philadelphia, PA on October 8, 1999. This was Louie's second 5-point major win. There were 132 Smooth Fox Terrier entries that day. Throughout the four day show weekend, Louie showed well and caused quite a stir among judges, breeders and exhibitors. He won the Bred-By Class 3 of the 4 days, including 1st place on the BIG Montgomery County Kennel Club Terrier Specialty Show. On the following weekend (October 16, 1999) in Atlanta, GA, Louie achieved his American Championship by winning another 4-point major and then won Best of Breed at the Griffin Kennel Club Dog Show. He went on that day to win a Group 3. The next day, he won another Best of Breed and a Group 4. Louie won Best of Breed at The Greater Atlanta Fox Terrier Specialty Show, April 16, 2000. This win made him a Best In Specialty Show Champion. Louie won Best In Show at The Chicago Specialty, June 2000 making him a multi-BISS winner! This win was especially nice as Louie defeated the all-time, top winning Smooth Fox Terrier bitch for Best in Specialty Show. Louie also won Best of Breed on Day One of the double Specialty Weekend and won Best of Opposite on Day Three, the AFTC National Specialty Show. In October 2000, Louie won an Award of Merit at the prestigious Montgomery County Kennel Club Show in Pennsylvania under breeder judge Col. Joe Purkhiser. Louie was a Top Ten ranked Smooth Fox Terrier in 2000 and stayed there through the year's end. Here is Louie's pedigree - Click on a linked name to view a photo
